The Vietnamese women’s football team embarked on their journey to New Zealand on Wednesday morning, marking the beginning of their participation in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
As per the itinerary, the departure time of the team's flight from Hanoi was scheduled for 12:35 pm.

Head coach Mai Duc Chung and the players were present at Noi Bai International Airport at 9:00 am.

Upon reaching Singapore, the team will undergo a transit period of approximately five hours before proceeding with their trip to Auckland.

It is anticipated that they will arrive in Auckland on Thursday morning (Vietnam time).

In preparation for their historic debut at the World Cup, the team will conduct their final training session in New Zealand that includes two friendly matches, one against New Zealand on July 10 and another against Spain on July 14.

The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, scheduled to take place in Australia and New Zealand from July 20 to August 20, signifies Vietnam’s inaugural participation in the global association football competition.

Vietnam have been drawn in Group E alongside defending champions the U.S., reigning runners-up the Netherlands, and Portugal.

They will kick off their 2023 Women’s World Cup campaign against the U.S. on July 22 at 1:00 pm (local time) in Auckland.

Vietnam will then play Portugal in Hamilton at 2:30 pm on July 27, followed by the Netherlands in Dunedin at 2:00 pm on August 1.
