Colorful lights and subtle decorations have been put up at many locations throughout Ho Chi Minh City to mark this year's Christmas, bringing the holiday spirit to everyone in the southern metropolis.

The captivating ornaments can be seen at almost every shopping mall, church, and religious neighborhood in the city, providing endless photo opportunities for local residents and tourists.

Aside from such old-time favorite places as Saigon Center and Diamond Plaza shopping malls in District 1 or ‘Christian neighborhoods’ in District 8 and Tan Phu District, the giant Christmas tree at Landmark 81 Tower in Binh Thanh District has emerged as a new attraction for the local youth.

The cool weather has also made it more convenient for everyone to put on their holiday outfits and enjoy the season's greetings.
