Hoi An launches summer event series to welcome tourists

The Center for Culture, Sports, Radio, and Television of Hoi An City, Quang Nam Province announced a list of exciting festivities on Friday meant to welcome visitors to the famed city through the end of July.

Le hoi am nhac va am thuc bien An Bang (An Bang Beach Music and Food Festival) is taking place on June 10 and 11 at An Bang Beach, Hai Ba Trung Street, Quang Nam Province and will provide tourists with relaxing moments owed to an eclectic assortment of live music.  

The food court at the event will specialize in seafood delicacies and the festival will also feature a music exchange program and beach sports activities.

Hoi An – Cam xuc mua he (Hoi An - Summer Emotions) will also be held as part of the city’s summer event series. 

It will take place on June 18 at 4:00 pm and promises to provide tourists with a variety of sports and recreational activities on An Bang Beach.

During the opening ceremony for the festival, the city will speak to locals and tourists about the green tourism message being spread throughout the region under the theme of the Quang Nam – Diem den du lich xanh (Quang Nam National Tourism Year - Green tourism destination) which focuses on nature-friendly activities, environmental protection, and sustainable tourism development.

Colorful kites of all shapes and sizes will soar in the skies over An Bang and Tan Thanh beaches to commemorate the Ngay hoi tha dieu (Kite Festival), which will take place from June 24 to 30.

Following the kite displays, tourists can partake in kite flying activities that are sure to embellish the blue sky with colorful kites.

Carnaval Vu dieu cam xuc (Carnaval - Emotional Dance) will be a cheerful event that will take place on July 2 at An Bang Beach, with events such as a masquerade display, coastal fashion shows from Vietnam and other countries, and dancing together.

Sports activities and folk games on the sea will also be held regularly on weekends as part of beach events, providing locals and visitors with an active summer and the opportunity to connect with one another.

During this period, Cu Lao Cham Island will also host a series of activities under the theme Cu Lao Cham – Dao xanh huyen thoai (Cu Lao Cham - Legendary Green Island), which will feature a variety of unique experiences.

Other activities planned to be held in Hoi An this summer include sea sports such as jet ski riding, paragliding, and banana buoy rides.
