The organizers of Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 on Monday unveiled five crowns adorned with over 1,500 crystals and gemstones, which will be awarded to the beauty pageant’s queen and four runners-up.

The crown for the winner is made of 24-karat gold and decorated with a combination of 872 zirconia stones -- a diamond simulant -- 380 yellow citrines, and 255 emeralds in different sizes.

Artists have incorporated iconic Vietnamese symbols onto the crown, including rice plants, pigeon wings, and lotus flowers, with the aim of paying homage to the nation’s rich traditional values.

They dedicated a total of 1,080 hours to crafting the crown.

The four tiaras awarded to the runners-up are fashioned from 24-karat gold and adorned with 2,400 gemstones. 

All of these designs are part of a crown collection, 'Wings of the Grand,' created by designer Nguyen Hoang Khang.

The champion will have the honor of representing Vietnam at the Miss Grand International 2023, scheduled for October in Ho Chi Minh City. 

Miss Grand Vietnam 2023, the second edition of the Miss Grand Vietnam beauty pageant, commenced earlier this month, with the Top 44 contestants selected for the final round after passing the National Costume, Best in Swimsuit, and Miss Fashion competitions. 

The highly-anticipated grand finale is scheduled for August 27 at the Phu Tho Sports Center in Ho Chi Minh City.

The first edition of the pageant was Miss Grand Vietnam 2022, with Doan Thien An, a beauty from southern Long An Province, claiming the title.
