The VND1.3 trillion (US$51 million) Hanoi Children's Palace is finally set to be inaugurated and launch operations after three years of construction.
Located in the CV1 lake park section of the Cau Giay-Nam Tu Liem new urban area, the project covers nearly 40,000 square meters and is currently being finalized for its upcoming official opening.
Children and young people across the capital city have long been eagerly awaiting the opening of the palace.

“The most impressive thing of the palace is a 10-lane swimming pool. After the palace is put into service, I will go to the place to swim first,” said Quang Khai, a 16-year-old from Nam Tu Liem District who has been waiting for the palace to open since the project got off the ground in 2021.
Meanwhile, Thao Nguyen, a 25 year-old resident of Dong Da District, said that she would be excited to check out the 18-story observatory at the palace.
“Because the palace is surrounded by few high-rise buildings, the view of the cityscape will not be blocked. Visitors can admire the city from the observatory,” Nguyen said.
“At night, I can take my children to the observatory to watch stars and the sky."
Both Khai and Nguyen agree that Hanoi Children’s Palace will be a great place for Hanoians to be entertained, play sports, and study.
Thuy, from Hanoi’s Long Bien District, shared that she plans to take her children to the palace as other entertainment areas in the city have fallen into disrepair.
“I hope that the palace will offer a wide array of creative activities, open multiple green spaces and resting rooms, and provide visitors with food and drink options,” Thuy said.
