The popular fire and water breathing performance at the iconic Dragon Bridge in Da Nang, central Vietnam, will be showcased every Friday starting this week, according to local authorities.

Vo Thanh Duoc, director of Da Nang Bridge and Road JSC, announced that the municipal government has approved one more fire and water breathing performance on Fridays at Dragon Bridge.

Previously, the renowned performance in the coastal city took place only on Saturday and Sunday evenings at 9:00 pm and on national holidays.

“Currently, the Da Nang Department of Construction is coordinating with relevant units to launch a fire and water breathing show with decorative lighting on the Dragon Bridge in an effort to provide tourists with a fresh and exciting experience,” Duoc said.

The city's Department of Transport is considering a proposal to prohibit trucks and tractor-trailers from crossing a nearby street and to handle illegal motorbike parking on the Dragon Bridge during the performance.

The six-lane Dragon Bridge is built over the Han River in Da Nang, connecting Hai Chau and Son Tra Districts and serving as a symbol of the fast-growing central Vietnamese city.

The Dragon Bridge has garnered numerous awards for its one-of-a-kind design and load-bearing structure.

Since its completion, the construction has drawn a large number of travelers.
