Tourists to the Central Highlands city of Kon Tum in Kon Tum Province on Wednesday afternoon had the opportunity to sample nearly 150 local traditional dishes at the Kon Tum Food Festival.

The four-hour event showcased Kon Tum’s culinary specialties, such as gỏi lá (leaf salad), cơm lam (sticky rice cooked in bamboo tube), grilled chicken, stir-fried cassava leaves, and other dishes from across Vietnam.

The 2023 Kon Tum Food Festival aimed to offer an opportunity for locals and tourists to experience a cultural, festive, and entertainment space, as well as for enterprises to introduce Kon Tum-made products to guests.

Vo Thi Quynh Trang, a tourist from the south-central province of Binh Dinh, expressed her excitement to be visiting Kon Tum for the first time on the occasion of the food fest.

According to Trang, the displayed dishes were not only eye-catching but also a delicious reflection of the local ethnic culture.
