A stroll round Vietnam’s biggest automobile exhibition

Vietnam Motor Show 2013, the biggest annual expo for automobile industry, is a magnet to many Saigonese, especially when the last two days of the event fall on the weekend.

The 9th annual event lured some 25,000 visitors on the first day, setting a new record for the number of visitors coming to such event on the opening day, said the organizer, CIS-LE Bros Joint Venture.

The event, kicked off on Thursday at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 7, is the biggest exhibition for automobiles and spare parts in Vietnam.

With the theme: “Together. To Success!”, the 4-day event, organized by the CIS-Le Bros joint venture, attracted 15 automobile brands, including 8 members of Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA), like Ford, GM, Hino, Honda, Mercedes-Benz, Suzuki, Toyota and Vinastar together with Nissan and 7 official automobile imported brands, such as Audi, BMW, Land Rover, Lexus, Renault, Nissan and Infiniti.

Many top-rated car, like Audi R8 V10 2014, Land Rover Range Rover Sport, and BMW X6 sDrive 35i and many others, mostly from BMW and Mercedes, were sold out at the event.

The organizers are expecting to attract 200,000 visitors, compared to the number of 120,000 in 2012.
