Tuoi Tre launches ‘Vocation story in the 4.0 era’ contest

Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper and the Vietnam Industry Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade has launched the ‘Vocation story in the 4.0 era’ contest as part of the ongoing forum on building an autonomous industry in 2022.

The contest is accompanied by the Vietnam Technology Advice and Solutions from Korea Centre (VITASK).

Launched on Thursday, the contest is a forum for participants to tell the stories of their lives and professions in the field of industrial production.

This is a playground and an opportunity for workers and businesses active in the mechanics and supporting industries to share information about their jobs, careers, the application of technology to the production process, and how they expand business scale and boost value in the industrial revolution 4.0.

Their stories are expected to inspire young people about occupations that are considered quite tough and boring such as mechanics and supporting industry.

Participants can submit their own stories or share the journeys of domestic and foreign businesses and startups.

The stories can be about how workers and engineers approach and apply science and technology to their work to boost efficiency and productivity, their plans for the future, and how they contribute to the country's industrial development.

The entries can also be the opinions of experts and managers on how to promote industrial development, thereby offering solutions to improve competitiveness for enterprises and their products.

 

Participants: Vietnamese or foreigners can participate, regardless of age and occupation.

Entry requirements:

- Entries should have the maximum length of 1,500 words, and it is recommended to include photos and video illustrations.

- Entries are presented in Vietnamese.

- The author clearly states the address, phone number, and email, for easy contact from the organizing board.

- Entries have not been submitted to any contest and have not been posted on all media and social networks.

If the entries are selected to be published on Tuoi Tre newspaper, the authors will receive royalties from the organizing board.

Prizes:

- 1 first prize: VND20 million.

- 1 second prize: VND10 million.

- 1 third prize: VND5 million.

- 2 special sub-prizes: VND10 million each (for enterprises that apply science and technology effectively in production).

The award ceremony is scheduled for December 2022.

General rules:

- The authors are responsible for the accuracy of the information in the entries and the copyright of their entries.

- Reporters and employees of Tuoi Tre newspaper and staff of the accompanying units, as well as their family members, are allowed to submit entries, but their entries will not be selected to win the prizes.

- The organizing board has the right to use the winning entries for awareness and promotion campaigns during and after the competition.

- The organizing board reserves the right to consider and decide all issues related to the prizes.

- Published entries are considered to be in the preliminary round. Entries in the preliminary round will be judged by reputable experts.

Entries can be sent to chuyennghecongnghiep@tuoitre.com.vn to via post to Tuoi Tre newspaper at 60A Hoang Van Thu, Ward 9, Phu Nhuan District, Ho Chi Minh City. The title should be "Entry for the ‘Vocation story in the 4.0 era’ contest."

Entries must be sent from October 27 to December 10, 2022.
