-- The traffic police department under the Ministry of Public Security reported on Sunday that during the nine-day 2025 Tet (Vietnamese Lunar New Year) holiday, from January 25 to 10:00 am on Sunday, 445 traffic accidents occurred nationwide, resulting in 209 fatalities and 373 injuries. Compared to the nine-day Tet holiday in 2024, traffic accidents decreased by 258 cases, or 36.69 percent, with deaths down 126 cases, 37.61 percent, and injuries dropping by 233, or 38.34 percent.
-- Traffic congestion was reported on national highways and expressways connecting major Vietnamese cities on Sunday as people returned to urban areas after the Tet holiday.
-- Traffic police stopped a 46-seater bus carrying 56 people on the Phap Van-Cau Gie-Cao Bo-Mai Son National Highway 45 on Sunday afternoon, finding the driver without a driver’s license and issuing a VND102 million (US$4,067) fine to both the driver and the bus owner.
-- The Vietnam Lottery Company (Vietlott) announced on Sunday evening that a customer had won the Mega 6/45 Jackpot totaling over VND152 billion ($6.06 million).
-- The Nguyen Hue 2025 Tet Flower Street in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City closed on Sunday evening.

-- The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism announced on Sunday that tourism revenue during the 2025 Tet holiday totaled approximately VND7.69 trillion ($306.62 million), marking a 17.4-percent increase compared to the same period last year.
-- Hanoi tourism generated over VND3.5 trillion ($139.55 million) in revenue during the Tet holiday.
