Vietnamese dairy giant Vinamilk last week held a signing ceremony for a strategic partnership with six leading global nutrition groups from Switzerland, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Sweden, and Japan.
The six firms included Switzerland’s Products DSM Nutritional AG, Denmark’s Chr. Hansen Holding A/S, Germany’s BENEO GmbH, Italy’s Gnosis, Sweden’s AAK Foodservice, and Japan’s Kanematsu Corporation.
They pledged to accompany Vinamilk by sharing breakthrough technologies and helping the latter apply new nutrition studies to formula milk products for children.
Vinamilk always eyes high standards in product research and development. As a result, the company chooses large and prestigious partners, who are leading nutrition groups from Switzerland, Denmark, Germany, and Japan, to expand its international cooperation, said Nguyen Quoc Khanh, executive director of Vinamilk.
“These partners share the dedication to developing products for the health of consumers, especially children," Khanh said.
"We believe that the development of an enterprise must go hand in hand with environmental protection and human and social development.
“Therefore, Vinamilk’s partners all aim for sustainable development. They do not use ingredients that are harmful to public health and the living environment."

Vinamilk has ceaselessly invested in modern production processes, employed advanced scientific research, and boosted international cooperation to provide products meeting international standards and suitable for Vietnamese children, the company's CEO Mai Kieu Lien said at the signing ceremony.
“Partnering with major partners worldwide is an important factor helping Vinamilk move faster on a journey to realize its goals," Lien added.
"Bringing more value to consumers as well as high-quality and safe products to children is always Vinamilk’s commitments."
Francois Scheffler, president of Products DSM Nutritional AG in Asia Pacific, said Vinamilk will move fast and access the world’s highest standards in the dairy sector thanks to its strategies and the cooperation with the six leading nutrition firms.
A representative of Kanematsu Corporation informed that the corporation and Vinamilk would join hands to develop dairy products for not only babies and children but also adults and older people in the coming time.
It will also introduce good materials from Japan to Vietnamese consumers.
The six firms are well-known nutrition groups from developed countries.
Given their partnership, Vinamilk will have more nutrition knowledge and apply advanced technologies and new nutrition initiatives in its formula milk products, said Tran Quang Trung, chairman of the Vietnam Dairy Association.
