Vietjet will increase the frequency of direct flights linking Ho Chi Minh City with Melbourne and Sydney, Australia to respond to travel demand, the budget Vietnamese airline announced on Sunday.
Vietjet said in its press release that the frequency of direct flights connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Melbourne will increase to four return flights per week from September 17.
Flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Melbourne take off at 10:55 am every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, and land at 10:35 pm (local time).
The scheduled departure time for flights from Melbourne to Ho Chi Minh City is 12:30 am every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, with the estimated arrival time of 6:30 am (local time).
The number of direct flights connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Sydney will also be raised to four return flights per week from September 18.
Every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, flights from Ho Chi Minh City depart at 7:30 pm and arrive in Sydney at 7:20 am (local time).
Flights from Sydney take off at 11:15 am every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, and land in Ho Chi Minh City at 4:30 pm (local time).
Vietjet also has a plan to launch the first direct flight connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Brisbane in June.
The carrier is offering passengers opportunities to hunt free tickets on the routes linking Ho Chi Minh City and the three aforementioned Australian cities every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, until October 25.
