Sacom Tuyen Lam JSC, a Vietnamese provider of tourism, resort, and golf course services, has proposed developing a premium resort in the Tuyen Lam Lake national tourist area, located in Da Lat City in Vietnam’s Central Highlands province of Lam Dong.

The Lam Dong People’s Committee confirmed on Sunday that it recently received the company’s proposal to convert the land use purpose of a 5.3-ha plot of the protection forest land in the tourist area to build the high-end resort.

The provincial administration said it then sent this proposal to relevant agencies for appraisal and feedback.

The land lot subject to the proposed conversion of the land use purpose is home to a pine tree forest spanning Ward 3 and Ward 4 in the city, the provincial administration said, adding that it is part of an area that Sacom Tuyen Lam had rented in 2010.

Sacom Tuyen Lam earlier built a golf course and a hotel in the Tuyen Lam Lake national tourist area.
