Zebu Air, a United Kingdom-headquartered provider of air charter and tailor-made flights, has made a foray into the market in Vietnam by announcing aircraft leasing services in the country.

Its services start at US$3,000 per hour, undercutting many of its rivals.

At present, the cost to lease a Beechcraft King Air 350, a high-performance propeller aircraft, is some $3,500-4,000 per hour, while a Legacy, a business jet with luxury furniture and a capacity of 13 people, costs $10,000 hourly.

As such, the two-hour flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi on a Legacy would cost $20,000.

Earlier, Vietnam Aircraft Leasing Company was the only aircraft lessor in Vietnam but its business performance was not particularly impressive.

Zebu Air named local aviation services provider Flyone Aviation Solutions (Flyone), which is based in Phu Nhuan District, Ho Chi Minh City, as its operations partner in Vietnam.
