Many well-known TikTokers will help gardeners in southern Vietnam introduce agricultural products, specialties, and ornamental flowers for the Lunar New Year holiday, or Tet, through live streams on Tuesday next week.

TikTokers joining the program include Miu Le, Long Chun, Phuong Oanh, and Tun Pham.

They will hold live streams on the short video-sharing platform from Tien Giang and Ben Tre Provinces, both located in Vietnam's Mekong Delta region.

The activity is part of the 'Ho Chi Minh City Online Tet Shopping Festival – Thu Thiem Impression,' which is scheduled to last until January 28 and is jointly organized by the administration in Thu Duc City, under Ho Chi Minh City, the Ho Chi Minh City Institute for Development Studies, and TikTok Vietnam.

The organizers have taken TikTokers to visit gardens in Tien Giang and Ben Tre.

Dinh Phuoc An, the owner of a flower garden in Long Thoi Commune, Cho Lach District, Ben Tre Province, said flowers grow well thanks to the favorable weather this year.

Flowers are sold at VND160,000 (US$6.6) per two large pots and VND80,000 ($3.3) per two small pots, inching up over last year.

With over 4,500 chrysanthemum morifolium pots, An expects to earn big this Tet, which is about four weeks away.

The Huyen Linh seedling garden in Mo Cay Bac District, Ben Tre has been bustling over the past few days.

In addition to coconut and mango seedlings, the garden specializes in cultivating kumquat trees, ornamented apple trees, and various other ornamental trees for Tet.

These items are priced between VND50,000 ($2.1) and VND148,000 ($6.1) each, as highlighted by Ho Thi Mong Mo, the owner of the garden.

TikToker Tran Hoang Long, also known as Long Chun, shared that the visit to gardens helped him see the hardship of the gardeners in producing high-quality agricultural products and ornamented trees for local demands and export.

“The visit helps me to have more information for my upcoming live streams to help consume more ornamented flowers, farm produce, and food products in southern Vietnam during the Tet holiday,” Long said.

TikTokers shared the same desire to support local farmers in selling their products online at higher prices and seeking more customers.
