The Vietnamese market will receive two new electric vehicle models, the Aion Y Plus and Aion ES, produced by GAC Aion New Energy Automobile Co. Ltd., a Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, in June.

A Facebook account named AION Vietnam posted photos of the two versions of Aion cars displayed at the brand’s showroom in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City a few days ago.

Some photos of an Aion Y Plus car being transported to Vietnam had previously gone viral on social media.

The MPV (multipurpose vehicle) is expected to achieve a dominant position for the Chinese automobile brand in Vietnam. The car is much sought-after in Thailand.

Specifically, the Aion Y Plus is an updated variant of the all-electric Aion Y, a compact electric crossover SUV, but it is slightly longer than the previous version.

The Aion Y Plus is 4,535 mm long and 1,870 mm wide. It could be the first electric MPV available in the Vietnamese market.
