QuickPack Group, a Germany-based manufacturer of household and hygiene products, is set to construct a €30-million (US$31.7 million) factory in Southeast Asia Industrial Park, part of Long An International Port Complex in Long An Province, southern Vietnam.

On Monday, QuickPack and the industrial park developer, Vietnam’s Dongtam Group, signed a memorandum of understanding for the construction during the Long An - Cologne business roundtable held in Cologne, Germany.

The event took place in the presence of Nguyen Van Duoc, secretary of the Long An Party Committee, along with many high-level officials from both countries.

As per the deal, QuickPack will lease a 60,000-square-meter plot in Southeast Asia Industrial Park to build the factory, whose construction is scheduled to start in 2025.

QuickPack plans to equip the factory with the latest technology to produce premium products exclusively for export to Europe, North America, and Australia.

Founded in 1966 in Stuttgart-Feuerbach, Germany, QuickPack specializes in household and hygiene products, supplying a wide range of items to global trading companies and top retail chains.

QuickPack’s product line encompasses aluminum foil, cling wrap, freezer bags, various types of baking paper, and storage bags for household, food, and medical applications.

In 2017, QuickPack established its first factory in Thuan Dao Industrial Park, developed by Dongtam Group in Long An’s Ben Luc District.

Seven years later, the company expanded its project to cover 10 hectares.

The total annual revenue of QuickPack factories in Germany, Poland, and Vietnam in 2024 amounted to €500 million ($527 million) and is projected to reach €550 million ($580 million) in 2025.

Dongtam Group was founded in 1969 in Vietnam, with core competencies in manufacturing and construction material trading, plus interior-exterior decoration.

After being in the market for over 55 years, including 20 years in the development and leasing of industrial park infrastructure, Dongtam has successfully transformed into a multifaceted corporation and has consistently diversified its business portfolio, expanding its plants and warehouses nationwide, venturing into port operations and providing a full range of logistic services.
