The Department of Education and Training in Ho Chi Minh City suggested that Google provide five million free accounts for local students and teachers at a seminar held in the city on Saturday.
The provision of such Google accounts will enable the city’s education sector to build an adequate data ecosystem to better serve teaching and learning activities, said the department’s chief of staff Ho Tan Minh at the seminar on how to digitally transform education with AI and data.
With Google accounts, students can utilize Google tools for learning and will be warned against spending too much time browsing the Internet for leisure or visiting inappropriate channels.
For teachers, useful Google tools will enable them to create a more vibrant learning environment.
Minh added that the department will collaborate with Google to analyze, evaluate, and personalize the said data ecosystem before coming up with more effective learning and teaching plans for the sector.
