Ho Chi Minh City residents shun the sun as summer approaches (photos)

As it is getting considerably hotter these days, many in Ho Chi Minh City have to shield themselves from the sun and scorching heat.
According to the Southern Hydrometeorology Station, the temperature in the city has reached almost 37 degrees Celsius in the last two days.
It has been nearly 38 degrees Celsius in such nearby provinces as Dong Nai, Binh Duong, and Binh Phuoc.
This is the hottest spell in southern Vietnam since the onset of this dry season, which typically starts in November and lasts until April of the following year, the station noted.
The hot, stuffy climate in the region is forecast to linger until mid-April, and the temperature in Ho Chi Minh City is likely to reach 38 degrees Celsius, while some southeastern provinces will see 40 degrees, according to the weather forecasting station.
The climate usually does not cool down markedly until around July, when the rainy season begins.
