Nick Vujicic, the famous limbless man who came to Vietnam in 2013 and 2014 to deliver meaningful speeches, will return to the country late this month, newswire Vietnamplus reported Friday.
He will join as a special guest speaker at the “Toa Sang Nghi Luc Viet 2015 – Nick, ban va toi” (Shining Vietnamese Will 2015 – Nick, You and I) galas, to be held from March 22 to March 25.
A special feature of this year’ program is that the events will take place in three areas, including Ho Chi Minh City and the central provinces of Nghe An and Lam Dong, with specific topics for different types of audiences.
Vujicic is scheduled to meet and talk to some of 500 children in special circumstances in HCMC at 1:50pm at the HCMC Television Theater at 14 Dinh Tien Hoang Street, District 1 on March 22. The event will be broadcast live on HCMC Television channel HTV7.
He will hold another talk with students at Nguyen Thi Minh Khai high school at 273 Dien Bien Phu, District 3 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm to help them make good choices for their lives and discuss how to reach their goals.
Vujicic will give a speech to students, people with disabilities, and workers in Lam Dong on the afternoon of March 23 to help them to live life with purpose.
On March 24, he will attend another event, to be held from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, at the Nghe An Labor Cultural House.
Vujicic’s last destination is HCMC, where he will speak to students at District 9’s Hoa Sen Secondary and High Schools, and the HCMC National University, about life skills and youthful enthusiasm.
The 2015 event is jointly organized by the Vietnam Youth Federation, Vietnamese sheet metal producer Hoa Sen Group, and Cong An (police) Newspaper.
This is the third time Vujicic has visited Vietnam. On his first visit in May 2013, Vujicic inspired millions of Vietnamese nationwide with his workshops and speeches on ways to transcend one’s own limits to reach success on their career path.
Nick Vujicic was born in 1982 in Melbourne, Australia with tetra-amelia syndrome, a rare disorder characterized by the absence of all four limbs.
The strong-willed man has visited more than 40 countries to deliver over 2,000 motivational speeches about hope and finding meaning in life with a disability.
He is now the CEO of non-profit organization Life Without Limits, which he founded at the age of 17, and director of the Attitude is Attitude company.
He has written inspirational books “Without Limits: Inspiration for a Ridiculously Good Life,” “Unstoppable – The Incredible Power of Faith in Action,” and “Limitless: Devotions for a Ridiculously Good Life.”
All of the books have been translated into Vietnamese. He married his fiancée, Kanae Miyahara, in 2012 and had a son in 2013.
The family will welcome their second son in August this year, according to Vujicic’s Facebook page.
