Vietnamese Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of New Zealand Winston Peters went for a stroll on the iconic The Huc Bridge and enjoyed Vietnamese coffee at a restaurant by Hoan Kiem Lake in Hanoi on Wednesday afternoon.
The two officials co-chaired the second Vietnam-New Zealand Foreign Ministers' Meeting on Wednesday during the New Zealand official’s two-day visit to Vietnam, which is set to last through Thursday.
Peters drank a cup of hot local coffee. He and Minister Son enjoyed Pavlova, a traditional New Zealand cake which had been topped with kiwi, passion fruit, dragon fruit, and avocado.
New Zealand has been supporting Vietnam in the development of its passion fruit, dragon fruit, and avocado export industries.
