​Ho Chi Minh City residents told to brace for water outage this weekend

Residents in some districts of Ho Chi Minh City will suffer from water outage this weekend as the Saigon Water Corporation (Sawaco) is scheduled to maintain one of their underground water plants.

The outage will last from 10:00 pm on Saturday until 7:00 pm on Sunday in some parts of Tan Binh District, District 6, Tan Phu District and District 11, according to a Sawaco announcement.

Within District 6, residents in Ward 14 will have their water supply cut off entirely during the period, while those in Ward 9 will experience low water pressure.

Meanwhile, low water pressure will be experienced across Tan Binh District’s wards of 9, 10, 11 and 14.

People living in the wards of Hoa Thanh, Hiep Tan, Tan Thoi Hoa, Phu Tho Hoa and Phu Trung in Tan Phu District will suffer from water outage during the period.

In District 11, low water pressure is to be expected in Wards 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 14.

During the period of maintenance, Sawaco will mobilize water trucks to supply water to administrative offices, hospitals and other crucial buildings in the affected area.
