-- Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev discussed measures to further promote partnership between the two countries during their talks in Hanoi on Monday, as part of the latter’s official visit to Vietnam on November 18 and 19.

-- Indian President Ram Nath Kovind and his spouse toured the My Son Sanctuary, a world cultural heritage site in the central province of Quang Nam, on Monday within the framework of his first state visit to Vietnam from November 18 to 20.

-- The law-making National Assembly on Monday adopted five bills, including the amended amnesty law, cultivation law, animal husbandry law, coast guard law, and some adjustments to the higher education law, during their ongoing sixth session in Hanoi.

-- Vietnamese police on Monday arrested Nguyen Huu Tin, former deputy chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, as they widened their investigations into the wrongdoings related to a Vietnamese tycoon, Phan Van Anh Vu.
