American woman strips off, jumps to death off overpass near Hanoi airport

A woman identified as being of U.S. nationality climbed on top of an overpass near Hanoi-based Noi Bai International Airport, going naked and dived off it to death on Thursday morning.
The incident happened at around 10:20 am along the overpass on Vo Nguyen Giap Street near the airport.
The foreign woman was showing some abnormal signs and appeared to be high on drugs when she climbed on the railing of the overpass, according to eyewitnesses.
She then took off her clothes and threw herself off the structure.
The woman was found unconscious after the fall, with her head severely bleeding.
A traffic police unit and district-level officers quickly arrived at the scene and rushed her to the hospital, but she was pronounced dead on arrival.
The victim left behind her clothes and personal documents, which showed that she was a 32-year-old American citizen.
Local authorities are continuing their investigation into the case.
