At least three people were killed and six others seriously injured after a truck crashed into an automobile, many motorbikes, and several houses in central Vietnam on Saturday evening.

The accident happened along provincial highway No. 623B in Nghia Ky Commune, Tu Nghia District, Quang Ngai Province at around 6:00 pm, according to preliminary reports.

Nguyen Van Linh was driving the truck when he lost control of the vehicle following a tire explosion.

The truck slammed into a seven-seater car traveling in the opposite direction before hitting many motorbikes.

It only came to a complete halt after crashing into four houses along the road.

Two people were killed on the spot, while seven others were wounded and taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.
