Body stuck under tractor-trailer for 60km following fatal crash in Vietnam

A man’s body was stuck under a tractor-trailer for about 60 kilometers after he was fatally hit by the vehicle in south-central Vietnam on the weekend.
The accident occurred on National Highway No.1 in Hoa Minh Commune, Tuy Phong District, Binh Thuan Province on Sunday evening, according to preliminary information.
Tran Duc Van, 54, was riding his motorbike and was about to approach the left side of the road when he was rear-ended by a tractor-trailer driven by 49-year-old Bui Minh Tung.
Van was killed on the spot, with his body stuck under the truck.

Tung did not stop his vehicle and continued on his journey following the crash.
The tractor-trailer was pulled over by traffic police in Phuoc Nam Commune, Thuan Nam District, Ninh Thuan Province, about 60 kilometers from the crash site, later that night.
Van’s body was found near the front wheels.
Tung and his vehicle have been handed over to officers in Tuy Phong District for further investigation.
