Six people including two children were killed after a fire broke out at a large teahouse in Vietnam early on Tuesday morning.
The deadly blaze occurred at Fill Teahouse, a three-storey building at 146 Dinh Cong Trang Street in Vinh City, Nghe An Province at 0:05 am, when locals heard some big explosions followed by flames and smoke coming out from the facility.
“We ran out and saw black smoke and fierce flames rising high," an eyewitness living opposite the teahouse said.
"Because the teahouse’s door was locked, there was no way to get in."
Hundreds of firefighters and seven specialized vehicles were sent to the scene to put out the fierce fire, but they faced difficulties since the building contained a lot of combustible furniture such as tables and chairs.
The fire was eventually extinguished after around an hour, leaving six dead on the teahouse’s second floor, local police said.

Among the victims was a four-month pregnant woman, VCT News reported.
The teahouse has suspended operations since June 8 to meet the requirements of the COVID-19 prevention and control, so there were no staff or guests there at the time.
As seen by Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper reporters, the fire consumed almost the entire first and second floors of the teahouse, damaging a lot of assets including vehicles and electronic devices.
Local police are investigating the cause of the conflagration.
