Local authorities are investigating an incident in which a garage in Ho Chi Minh City suddenly burst into flames on Wednesday evening, damaging three luxury cars and one motorbike.
The fire broke out at a 100-square-meter garage on Tran Xuan Soan Street in District 7 at around 6:30 pm Wednesday.
Local people tried to put out the blaze with fire extinguishers but had no success considering the garage’s door was locked and there was nobody inside.
As smoke rose, the fire quickly engulfed the venue.
More than 50 firefighters and nearly ten fire trucks arrived at the scene about ten minutes later, but extreme heat prevented them from approaching the fire, according to news site VnExpress.

The online newspaper reported that Tran Van Tung, a 49-year-old man, used his tractor truck, which was parked near the garage, to knock down the locked door of the burning venue so that firefighters were able extinguish the flames.
The fire caused no casualties but completely destroyed one Audi Q7, two seven-seater Range Rovers, and a motorbike, according to VnExpress.
The garage has been in operation for two years.
Police are investigating the cause of the conflagration.
