A truck running on the Thi Nghe Bridge in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City suddenly lost control, hitting a series of motorbikes in the opposite direction and injuring many people on Friday afternoon.

Preliminary information showed that a man was steering the truck on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street on the direction from District 1 to Binh Thanh District at around 2:20 pm on the day, before it suddenly lost control when just arriving at the Thi Nghe Bridge.

The truck ran over the barrier between the two lanes before sweeping through three motorbikes running in the opposite direction.

The accident left at least two people with multiple injuries. 

One of them was a woman who was thrown onto the sidewalk and had to be taken to the hospital.

At the scene, the truck’s cabin climbed onto the sidewalk, while in front of it was a motorbike. 

The other two motorbikes lied on the road.

Upon receiving reports on the case, local police quickly arrived at the scene to regulate traffic flowa.

The accident is under investigation.
