COVID-19 Updates

-- Hanoi currently has no COVID-19 cases being treated at centralized quarantine facilities and will dissolve these centers in the near future, the municipal Department of Health said in a quick report on Friday.

-- A 61-year-old woman has been declared dead after undergoing a breast fat implantation at Saigon Kangnam Cosmetic Hospital in Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City. Inspectors of the municipal Department of Health have requested the hospital to suspend plastic surgery services pending the investigation from the authorities.

-- Authorities in north-central Nghe An Province on Friday honored a 15-year-old boy for jumping into a pond to save a seven-year-old child from drowning.

-- The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam concluded on Friday that the collision of two Airbus A321 aircraft at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi on November 2, 2021 was directly caused by a driver and a technician during the process of moving the planes out of their parking positions.

-- The People’s Committee of Cam Ranh City in south-central Khanh Hoa Province has requested tourism businesses to stop operating tours to two islands of Binh Ba and Binh Hung, which are among top destinations for young travelers, for the safety of military operations.

-- The Department of Transport of Ho Chi Minh City has proposed the municipal People’s Committee to open 36 more bus routes, including 32 inner-city and four interprovincial routes, in order to develop the city’s public transport network and better meet the travel needs of local people.
