A sleeper bus collided with a truck on National Highway 14 in Dong Xoai City, Binh Phuoc Province, southern Vietnam on Monday night, injuring the two drivers and dozens of passengers.
Preliminary information showed that a sleeper bus with license plate 60B-051.10 crashed into the truck numbered 47H-025.87 at 11:45 pm on Monday traveling from Ho Chi Minh City to the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak.
The accident happened in an intersection on National Highway 14 in Tan Dong Ward, Dong Xoai City.

The driver of the truck was thrown out of the vehicle, while tens of passengers on the sleeper bus panicked and cried for help.
Both the truck and the sleeper bus were heavily damaged. The windshield and windows of the sleeper bus were shattered and passengers’ belongings spilled onto the road.
The accident injured the two drivers and dozens of passengers. The truck driver and some of the bus passengers sustained the heaviest injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital.

Upon receiving reports of the accident, local police arrived at the scene to take the victims to the hospital and regulate traffic.
The scene of the crash was not cleared until 7:00 am on Tuesday.
The cause is still under investigation.
