Bulgarian President Rumen Radev and his spouse, Desislava Radeva, took a waterbus ride on the Saigon River in Ho Chi Minh City and enjoyed a series of art performances on Wednesday afternoon.

President Radev’s visit to the southern metropolis was part of his trip to Vietnam from Sunday to Wednesday at the invitation of his Vietnamese counterpart Luong Cuong.

Vo Van Hoan, vice-chairman of the municipal People's Committee, alongside several Vietnamese officials, accompanied the Bulgarian president on the waterbus ride.

President Radev shared that he was impressed by the city’s architectural beauty, vibrancy, and potential for economic development.

He expressed hope that his visit to the city would help strengthen bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and Bulgaria.

On the same day, President Radev met with Nguyen Van Nen, secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, and participated in the Vietnam-Bulgaria Business Forum.
