-- Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City served 137,000 passengers on Wednesday, the fourth day of this lunar year, the highest-ever number of passengers in a day, according to the Southern Airports Authority.
-- Many areas in Giong Trom, Mo Cay Bac, and Mo Cay Nam Districts in the Mekong Delta province of Ben Tre and Ninh Kieu District in Can Tho City were submerged due to high tides on Wednesday.
-- A truck hit a 16-seat passenger car which stopped on a section of the Trung Luong-My Thuan Expressway in Cai Lay District, Tien Giang Province, southern Vietnam, at its back, killing one passenger and injuring two others.
-- Some filling stations in Ho Chi Minh City were found to have suspended their operations during the Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday, while some in Hanoi were fined for failing to sell fuels in accordance with the list prices.

-- Some localities in the Mekong Delta generated outstanding tourism revenue during the Lunar New Year, or Tet, holiday, such as Can Tho City with VND259 billion (US$11 million) between the 29th day of the 12th month of the last lunar year and the third day of this lunar year.
-- Phu Quoc Island off Kien Giang Province, southern Vietnam, welcomed some 70,000 tourist arrivals between January 20 and 24, or the 29th day of the 12th month of the last lunar year and the third day of this lunar year, including 4,400 international visitors, surging 64 percent year on year, according to the provincial Department of Tourism.

-- The 2023 National Motor Racing Championship was held in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho on Wednesday afternoon, the fourth day of this lunar year, attracting 52 racers and thousands of spectators.
