Police in Vinh Phuc Province, northern Vietnam confirmed on Tuesday they had arrested the suspect who robbed a local mobile phone store with a gun.
Preliminary information showed that the robbery took place at a mobile phone store in Phuc Yen City, Vinh Phuc Province at around 9:45 pm on Monday.
A man with a hat and face mask with a gun entered the shop and started threatening the attendant, according to CCTV footage.
He took VND70 million (US$2,960) and 28 phones before escaping.
After the incident was reported, police in Phuc Yen City launched an investigation and coordinated with the provincial Department of Public Security to hunt for the suspect.
The suspect was later arrested when he was hiding in Da Lat City in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong.
He has been taken back to Vinh Phuc Province to facilitate the investigation.
