Two men, including an elementary school teacher, from Ha Tinh Province, north-central Vietnam have been probed for allegedly raping a seventh grader.

The People’s Procuracy in Loc Ha District, Ha Tinh Province confirmed on Saturday it had approved the legal proceedings against D.M.T., 52, and P.V.D., 68, on charges of raping an under-16-year-old person.

The two suspects were also arrested for four months to facilitate the investigation.

A man previously submitted a document accusing T., who is a teacher at Thu Loc Elementary School, of molesting his daughter Y., who studies fifth grade at the facility.

During a working session with police officers, T. admitted to groping Y..

He also admitted to having sex with Hoa, a seventh grader, whose name has been changed.

Hoa told officers she had had sex with T., as well as D..

During another working session, T. and D. admitted to their wrongdoing, adding that they often gave Hoa about VND10,000-20,000 (US$0.42-0.84) after copulating with her.
