A man in Da Nang City, central Vietnam has been arrested on suspicion of murder following a violent confrontation over loud karaoke noises.
Officers under the municipal Department of Public Security confirmed on Tuesday they had arrested Le Cong Binh, 31, on murder charges.
Preliminary information showed that M.N.P., 34, and T.V.T., 32, were drinking alcohol and singing karaoke in front of their tenanted room in Lien Chieu District, Da Nang on Monday evening.
At around 10:00 pm the same day, Binh, who lives nearby, demanded that P. and T. stop the loud singing so that people could rest.
An argument broke out between T. and Binh and quickly turned violent.
During the physical confrontation, Binh took out a knife from his pocket and stabbed T.’s neck, causing the latter to die on the spot.
Binh later turned himself in to local police.
Further investigation is ongoing.
