An earthquake measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale occurred 82 kilometers from Tuy Hoa City, south-central Phu Yen Province in the East Vietnam Sea on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Vietnam Earthquake and Tsunami Warning Center under the Institute of Geophysics.

The quake hit at a depth of about 12 kilometers at 13°15'09'' North latitude and 110°14'06'' East longitude at around 4:37 pm (Hanoi time), posing no risk of disaster.

The Vietnam Earthquake and Tsunami Warning Center is monitoring the earthquake.
