The police in Dak Lak Province of Vietnam’s Central Highlands region and relevant units are hunting for dozens of armed people who gunned down several police officers and local residents on Sunday morning.
Lieutenant General To An Xo, spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Security, on the same day cited a police report as confirming that this armed group, yet to be identified, attacked the police headquarters of Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur Communes in Cu Kuin District.
The ministry directed the provincial police to take urgent measures to seize the armed group, while calling on locals in Cu Kuin and neighboring localities to stay calm and follow the instructions of authorities.
Those who have information on the armed group should contact the nearest police station, Xo underlined.
