-- Vietnam strongly objects to China’s wrong statement that its survey vessel Xiang Yang Hong 10 did not enter other countries’ exclusive economic zones, Pham Thu Hang, spokeswoman of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Saturday. Survey vessel Xiang Yang Hong 10, Coast Guard vessels, and fishing ships flying Chinese flags had earlier entered Vietnam’s exclusive economic zone in the East Vietnam Sea.

-- President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has decided to postpone his official visit to Vietnam, which was planned to last from Sunday to Tuesday, due to a serious forest fire in the Abay region of Kazakhstan, the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Saturday.

-- The Mekong Delta should develop elevated expressways amid the scarcity of sand and soil for leveling the site for overground expressway projects, construction experts proposed at a seminar held in Hanoi on Saturday.

-- The Department of Quang Tri Province in north-central Vietnam on Saturday issued decisions to revoke transport badges from 15 coaches, including one which violated the speed limit 630 times on a total of over 20,000 kilometers.

-- Military Hospital 175 in Ho Chi Minh City has successfully treated a 45-year-old Canadian man who were paralyzed in two legs for eight years as he met with three traffic accidents in Canada’s Ottawa City between 2014 and 1019, the hospital said on Saturday.

-- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has agreed to start work on the Chau Doc-Can Tho-Soc Trang Expressway next Saturday, and Beltway No. 3 in Ho Chi Minh City and Khanh Hoa-Buon Ma Thuot and Bien Hoa-Vung Tau expressways in southern Vietnam next Sunday.

-- The Vietnam Logistics Business Association, the Vietnam Ship Agents, Brokers and Maritime Services Providers Association, and the Vietnam Shipowners' Association have proposed solutions to reduce enterprises’ losses amid repeated power cuts in Hai Phong, a major port city in northern Vietnam.

-- A man died while two others are in critical condition after drinking alcohol bought two months ago to make vinegar in southern Ca Mau Province, local authorities said on Saturday.
