-- Upon his arrival in Beijing to commence his first official trip in China and attend the 14th Annual Meeting of the New Champions of the World Economic Forum, Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Sunday afternoon paid a visit to the Vietnamese Embassy in the countrty and engaged in discussions with the Vietnamese community there.

-- The Vietnamese government’s standing committee has urged the arrangement for transitioning the ownership of Vietnam Air Petrol Company Limited (Skypec), with a capital of VND800 billion (US$34 million), from Vietnam Airlines to the state-run Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) in order to restructure the national carrier and address its ongoing significant financial losses.

-- One person was killed and nine injured, including children, in a roller coaster accident at the Grona Lund amusement park in the Swedish capital of Stockholm on Sunday, Reuters quoted representatives of the park as saying.
