-- The bus system in central Da Nang City was suspended again, following a suspension nearly a month ago, as more than 100 drivers and driving assistants were going on a strike on Saturday to demand their unpaid salaries.

-- A house was damaged as another landslide occurred on Saturday at the site of a previous landslide that killed two people and damaged three houses in Da Lat City of the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong.

-- The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport on Saturday said that it would suspend the construction of the An Phu Intersection in Thu Duc City if contractors repeat violations at the construction site, including making the site a mess, posing a high risk to the environmental hygiene and traffic safety.

-- Many travel companies and lodging facilities in Quang Nam Province, central Vietnam have expressed their doubts over the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s report which said that the province welcomed 4.6 million tourists in the first half of the year amid a slump in key tourist sites in the province.

-- The People’s Committee of Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Province, a neighbor of Ho Chi Minh City, on Saturday started work on an anti-flooding project worth over VND23 billion (US$1 million) on Dong Khoi Street, a flooding hotspot in the city.

-- A cooperative in Quang Nam Province, central Vietnam on Saturday inked a deal with a U.S. firm to export braised scad stateside. It will ship the first batch of seven to 10 metric tons of the product to the U.S. on July 20.

World News

-- A six-storey building collapsed while under construction in Ivory Coast's commercial capital Abidjan on Friday, killing at least seven of the builders on site, Reuters cited firefighters at the scene as saying.

-- Twitter is limiting how many tweets per day various accounts can read, to discourage "extreme levels" of data scraping and system manipulation, Reuters reported, quoting Executive Chair Elon Musk’s post on the social media platform on Saturday.
