Police in Long Thanh District, Dong Nai Province, southern Vietnam have summoned two teenagers for doing a wheelie on National Highway 51.
Two other teenagers were also ordered to come to the police station for questioning.
A video clip showing a group of four teenagers riding two scooters in a lane for cars on the national highway in Long Duc Commune under Long Thanh District spread on social media on Tuesday evening.
Doing a wheelie means raising the front wheel off the ground and balancing on the back wheel.
Among them, two on a scooter wore no helmets and did a wheelie, provoking outrage among users of social networks.
As such, police officers launched a probe into the case to impose harsh sanctions on the traffic violators.
They were identified as Duong Hua Hoang Van, a 19-year-old resident of Long Thanh District; Nguyen Truong Xuyen, 19, who lives in Soc Trang Province; N.V.G.K., 16; and C.T.H., 16.
The teenagers admitted their traffic violations at the police station.
