-- A high-ranking delegation led by Vietnamese State President Vo Van Thuong arrived at Fiumicino International Airport in Rome on Tuesday, beginning a working trip to Italy and the Vatican at the invitations of Italian President Sergio Mattarella and Pope Francis.

-- Vietnam on Tuesday congratulated Cambodia on successfully organizing its recent parliamentary elections for the seventh term.

-- A road turned slippery due to a rain on Tuesday afternoon while motorcyclists pulled over to put on raincoats, resulting in a serial collision of at least 15 motorbikes on the Saigon Bridge, a major thoroughfare crossing the Saigon River that connects Thu Duc City and Binh Thanh District in Ho Chi Minh City. At least 25 people were injured.

-- Traces of spices detected on a grinding slab and other stone tools unearthed in Vietnam reveal that curry was eaten in Southeast Asia at least 2,000 years ago, CNN reported on Tuesday.
