-- Following a two-day journey across eight provinces and cities within the Mekong Delta region to assess the ongoing landslide situation, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, accompanied by a high-ranking delegation, dedicated Sunday to visiting enterprises, talking to farmers, and holding discussions with Dong Thap Province’s leaders.

-- Pham Van Son, director of the Vietnam Environmental Incident Response Center, expressed concerns over the flow of a stream of sludge from a copper ore processing plant in Lao Cai Province into the environment. The stream has flown to as near as around 20 kilometers away from the Red River, which courses through nine provinces and cities in the northern region.
