A revolver and six bullets were found during a security screening at Da Nang International Airport, located in central Vietnam’s Da Nang on Sunday morning, a local police official confirmed on Monday.
This is the third time that guns and bullets have been detected at the airport’s security checkpoints.
Findings from the airport’s security team showed that the gun and copper jacketed bullets were transported by N.M.H., a delivery worker at a courier company in the city.

Following the detection of the weapons, the airport handed the case over to police in Hai Chau District for further investigation.
On March 14 this year, security officers at the airport discovered parts of a homemade gun in a package at the cargo terminal.
The security team found that the parts could be assembled into a gun.
The package also included two copper jacketed bullets which contained explosive materials.
According to the airport’s aviation security center, the package was being sent by P.T.Th., a resident of Da Nang’s Thanh Khe District, from the coastal city to Hanoi.
On April 14, airport security officers detected another gun and 10 bullets packed in a carton bound to Hanoi.
The carton was sent from a forwarding company in Da Nang, with Tr.K.Th., 33, a resident in Da Nang, having conducted shipping procedures.
As per prevailing regulations, explosives and explosive materials are banned from being brought to aircraft.
This includes weapons, guns, and other items which can hurt people.
