-- Secretary of the Can Tho Party Committee Nguyen Van Hieu proposed the Mekong Delta city and South Korea deepen their bilateral ties in various fields in the coming time during his reception for South Korean Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Shin Choong II on Tuesday.

-- State President Vo Van Thuong received the newly accredited ambassadors of Venezuela and Laos, who came to present their credentials in Hanoi on Wednesday, reported the Vietnam News Agency.

-- Vietnam spent US$142 million importing over 42,000 metric tons of seafood from Norway between January and September, up eight percent in volume and 23 percent in value year on year.

-- The People’s Committee of Quang Tri Province, located in north-central Vietnam, is calling on firms to jointly pour VND14.7 trillion ($600.5 million) into nighttime economy-driven projects in the province from now until 2030, heard a meeting on Wednesday.
