On Monday, Hanoi's traffic police reported that they were investigating a video depicting a rider lying on the seat of a motorbike and swiftly overtaking multiple cars on a section of the Thang Long Avenue expressway, where motorcycles are prohibited.

A municipal traffic police officer told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper that a video recorded by the black box of a car on the expressway showed that the motorcyclist performed the stunt on Sunday afternoon.

After swiftly overtaking cars, the rider drove the vehicle off of the expressway while still lying on its seat.

The Thang Long Avenue expressway features six lanes and two separate lanes for emergency stops. It permits a maximum speed of 100 kilometers per hour.

The expressway strictly prohibits the presence of motorcycles, rudimentary vehicles, and pedestrians.
