South Korea will always pay attention to and provide continuous support for Vietnam’s healthcare sector, Speaker of the South Korean National Assembly (NA) Kim Jin Pyo pledged in a video sent to the Hue Central Hospital in Thua Thien-Hue Province, central Vietnam on the occasion of a South Korean NA delegation’s visit to the hospital on Monday.

The South Korean NA delegation, led by deputy Choi Younsuk, visited the second campus of the hospital funded by South Korea.

Choi said she and the South Korean Ministry of Health and Welfare and government were impressed by the hospital’s achievements.

The second campus of the Hue Central Hospital has become a large medical facility in Thua Thien-Hue Province and the central region as a whole.

The establishment has 500 beds and offers modern medical techniques.

Professor Dr. Pham Nhu Hiep, director of the Hue Central Hospital, said its second campus has been overloaded.

Therefore, it will be expanded this year.

Hiep expected the South Korean government to continue accompanying and supporting the hospital in training high-quality medical workers and providing medical equipment and supplies to help the hospital meet international standards.
