-- Rescuers on Saturday morning saved an 18-year-old British boy who got lost at midnight on Friday in a national park in Lai Chau and Lao Cai Provinces, located in northern Vietnam.
-- The administration in Tan Thanh District, Long An Province, southern Vietnam asked local police to handle a woman who slapped a teacher’s face after the teacher beat her son on April 2, the district chairman said on Friday. The teacher was transferred to another school.
-- Firefighters put out a fire which damaged many tractor trailers at a parking lot in Binh Dinh Province, south-central Vietnam on Saturday evening. The fire caused no casualties, a local official said the same day.
-- Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds uprooted many trees across Hanoi on Saturday night. Some districts, such as Ung Hoa, Chuong My, and My Duc, experienced hail the same day.
-- Rain, hail, and gale-force winds caused many trees to collapse, tore the roofs of many houses, and caused a power outage in Phu Yen District of the northern mountainous province of Son La on Saturday.
