-- Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang will attend the 27th Saint-Petersburg International Economic Forum from June 5 to 8 at the invitation of Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee of Saint-Petersburg International Economic Forum, according to the Vietnamese Government Portal.

-- Police in Bac Giang Province, northern Vietnam on Tuesday reported the apprehension of a 41-year-old suspect for illegal storage and transportation of over one metric ton of lead bullets, along with multiple weapons and explosives.

-- Authorities in Thai Nguyen Province, northern Vietnam have fined a male driver VND4 million (US$157) and suspended his driver’s license for two months after he was found carrying four women in the rear luggage compartment.


-- Vietnam spent approximately VND2 trillion ($78.7 million) importing seafood from Norway in January-April, revealed Asbjørn Warvik Rørtveit, director of Southeast Asia at the Norwegian Seafood Council, during a cooperation agreement signing event in Hanoi on Tuesday.

-- The Vietnamese state-owned postal service Vietnam Post was targeted by a ransomware attack, rendering its website and application inaccessible starting Tuesday morning.
